Computer Science
Implicit Surfaces offer an immense amount of power in modeling. The set of all mathematical and procedural functions is a fertile field which contains (or closely approximates) every shape imaginable. Despite this, implicit surfaces have not been extensively used in modeling. This is in part due to the difficulty of shaping implicit surfaces. This paper presents a starter set of functions that can help in the shaping of implicit surfaces.
