A. Generic Evaluation Sheet

.3in .2in

A minus (-) in the parentheses means that this particular item has not been done properly or well. The entries in the brackets (for example, [sp]) are approximately what appear in the margins of your paper to explain a correction or a needed change. (Your instructors vary somewhat in their notations.) These marginal notations are the key to this sheet. Explanations for the problems indicated may be found by looking up the references to Huckin and Olsen [HO91], the grammar handbook by Hacker [Hac89], or in the appropriate section of Appendix B of this workbook.
