Professors Jim Whitehead and Charlie McDowell recently received an $80,000 gift from Microsoft to support the addition of computer game projects early in the computer science curriculum in the Baskin School of Engineering. The goal of the work is to evaluate the impact of these projects on enhancing the attractiveness of computer science as a discipline. The gift was awarded in response to a proposal, one of only six that were funded out of 71 submitted. Congratulations Jim and Charlie!
