Graduate student Krishna Roskin started with the UCSC genome browser project while an undergraduate. He participates in the effort to better understand the human genome through comparison with genomes from other organisms.

With his name on several publications, including the landmark paper in Nature (Dec 5, 2002) presenting the mouse genome, he has already contributed significantly to genome exploration.
