David Haussler and Gene Myers organize a joint scientific meeting

David Haussler, computer science professor at UCSC and investigator with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI), joined forces with Gene Myers from Celera Genomics to organize a joint scientific meeting between the International Human Genome Consortium and the private company to discuss strategies for sequencing and assembling the human genome. The meeting takes place on June 6 at the HHMI headquarters in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
