My God is an Awesome God


My God is wisdom.
My God is grace.

My God is everywhere,
In everyone,
And everything.

My God encourages all things,
Moves all things,
Brings all things.

My God is love.

My God is patience and kindness.
My God is compassion and mercy.

My God sees all things,
Hears all things,
Knows all things.

My God bears all things,
Understands all things,
Forgives all things.

My God is here.
My God is now.
My God is all time and all
  possibility.

My God is peace and joy and light.

My God is rushing water,
  blowing wind.
My God is snow and rain,
  and sunshine.
My God is the moutains 
  and the heavens,
The lakes and the forests,
The rivers and the seas.

My God is life.

My God stands on street corners
And walks among us with open arms.

My God teaches teachers,
Leads leaders,
Moves nations.

My God is the gift of birth 
  and the mystery of death.
My God is change 
  and perfect stillness.

My God stands between the known
  and the unknowable,
Where theories unravel 
  and ideas wither.

My God is order and chaos entwined.
My God is truth and justice.

My God is the air that fills our lungs.
My God is the smallest of things,
  and the greatest.
My God is an awesome God.
