To apply for the "Restricted Radiotelephone Operator's Permit"

go to the FCC site "https://svartifoss2.fcc.gov/cores/CoresHome.html"
and get an account number.  Mine was FRN: 0006-3711-40.  If you
forget it later, you can also search CORES for your own number.

go to "http://www.fcc.gov/formpage.html"
Fill out a form 605 AND a Schedule E.  Also fill out Form 159.
Without a schedule E, or a Form 159,
the application will not be processed completely.  As such, I got
a letter back with File No: 0000819252 and Reference No. 1347436.

Send $50, check made out to FCC, along with all three forms, to:

Pittsburgh, PA 15251-5245

If you screw it up, and you have to file an amendment that 
requires no additional fee, send the amendment to:
