Cross-Species Alignments
This page contains links to software for doing cross-species DNA alignments and some examples of cross-species
alignments. Look for an accompanying article in Genome Research in a few months.
- Align Two Sequences - Align two of your own sequences (up to 10 kb for top, up
to 100kb for bottom). For longer alignments please download WABA to run on your own server.
- Download WABA - Download software to run on your own server.
- Align with C. elegans - Align your own sequence (up to8 kb) with the C.
elegans genome.
- C. elegans/C. briggsae Alignments - A list of the regions of the C. elegans
genome with homologous regions in the 8 million bases of sequenced C. briggsae DNA. The list is hyperlinked
to the Tracks Display, where you can see the alignment in detail in the context of the C. elegans genome.
The C. briggsae data is from Washington University.
- Mouse/Human Alignments - A collection of alignments of homologous mouse and human
DNA.
- Alfresco - Another tool for cross-species alignments at the Sanger Center.
