Important message: The PingPong Club of UC Santa Cruz is not meeting this quarter due to lack of officers. I founded and organized the PingPong club of UCSC for the last 4 years. However, I graduated in June 2004 with my Masters. Since I cannot find any replacement organizers, the PingPong Club of UCSC is facing to be dissolved de facto. Table Tennis (Ping Pong) Club of Santa Cruz

 

The Table Tennis (Ping Pong) Club of Santa Cruz is a 4 years old organization. The club was founded in 2000. It is a fun game that can be played by a team of two or four. Table Tennis is a popular game. It is an official game in the Olympics and have 4 Gold metals reserved for it. We have served over 200 club members including UCSC students, staff, faculty and community members in the past 4 years.

Illegal style of play: Illegal Table Tennis playing style is a common phenomenon worldwide. It is due to the wide popularity of the sport and the extreme lack of professionals / trainers in this field.

When joining the Table Tennis Club of UCSC, we teach players of all levels to play correctly according to USATT and ITTF rules. Here are some basic rules for Table Tennis / Ping Pong.

Register: If you are interested in joining the Table Tennis Club, you can just show up to our Friday meeting and bring $15 with you. (Reduced fee of $10 as of April 22nd)

Reasons to join our club:

* Best equipment - Top of the line tables and nets!

* Best facility - Tournament size practice area

* Best people - friendly player who teach you the right style of play

Club Meeting time:

Fridays 6:00pm-8:00pm ( for entire quarter )

Club Meeting location: Eastfield house, Multipurpose Room(next to the gym)

Club Meeting Activities: We teach and learn proper rules and techniques of the game from practice.

FEE: $15 each quarter, $40 for a single school year(3 quarters). Make check payable to UC Regents.

Open to all UCSC students, staff, and faculty members. This event do not require registration, you can just show up on Sat. at 2pm (East Field House - Multipurpose room).

*for those of you who does not have paddles, we have loaner paddles available.

 
This fun event is open to all UCSC students, staff, and faculty members. You can register via email or just show up to the tournament location - east field house this Saturday at 2:00pm. 4 offical titles and prizes will be given. You don't need to be a pro in Ping Pong, just come and have fun and get some exercise!
