Mostly a bunch of shots of us just leading our life. For some reason, we caught a bunch of really silly shots of Tatum. Emmet is shown doing his new favorite thing, climbing! There are also some sweet pictures of Tatum and her friend Bethena going puddle jumping after a rainstorm.

For Easter, we had over Julia's cousin Terri and husband Mike, along with Jenni and daughter Georgia, as well as our friends Aleene and Brad and their daughter Avalon. This meant we had three girls out hunting for Easter eggs in the morning! There are also some pictures here of Emmet on a recent triup to Skypark.

Some pictures of Emmet's birthday party, as well as pictures of Tatum and Emmet playing out on our deck. Some pictures of when the Gaudinski's came to visit too.

We took some pictures of Tatum's birthday party, held at a local gymnastics center, as well as lots of Christmas pictures.

We took a few more pictures of Tatum and Emmet over the last week, and have put them up. Also found a few nice pictures from a trip to the beach last September, and added those too.

During March, we took a week-long trip to Shirley's house in Timber Cove, on the Sonoma Coast, and took a few pictures along the way. We also took some pictures during Tatun's Easter egg hunt in our front yard. Enjoy!

After having "Bean" imaged with ultrasound late in the day on Tuesday, January 6, it was clear that he was already a big baby, with estimates ranging from 9lbs 4oz to 9lbs 10oz. Since Bean would add more weight before his scheduled due date of January 16, and with the doctor and midwives being very nervous about a repeat of Tatum's shoulder dystocia and subsequent Herb's palsy, we decided the night of the 6th to have a cesarian delivery. At 8AM the following morning, the operation was scheduled for noon that day, to avoid the possibility of Julia going into early labor. At 12:31AM on January 7, Bean became baby Emmet.
Since Emmet Tycho is not the most common of names, you may be curious about our inspiration for choosing this name. Emmet is a family name, and four generations of Emmets precede Emmet Tycho on his father's side. The name carries special significance, since Emmet Tycho's Great Grandfather, Emmet Monroe, died recently, and was the only living Emmet to go by that name.
Tycho is inspired by Tycho Brahe, the famous Danish astronomer, who lived from 1546-1601. He is famous for the accuracy of his astronomical measurements, which were later used by Johannes Kepler to support the sun-centric theory of planetary motion. Of course, we also just plain liked the name Tycho, and we certainly hope his nose fares better than that of his namesake.
OK, now for some pictures!
