The Silicon Valley Center
The Silicon Valley Center (SVC) is the instructional component of the University of California at Santa Cruz Silicon Valley Initiatives. The SVI comprise a set of educational and research activities that together increase the presence of UC in the Silicon Valley. UCSC brings its world renowned and cutting edge research to the area via the SVC.
The Baskin School of Engineering currently offers classes in its Technology and Information Management Program (TIM) / Knowledge Services and Enterprise Management Certificate Program (KSEM), the Masters in Network Engineering Program (MSNE), and selected other BSOE classes.
The SVC currently has three classrooms, with three more under development. Several of these classrooms are equipped with high-tech media, which allow telecasting of classes to and from the main UCSC campus. Student computer labs are also available.
The School of Engineering faculty who teach at SVC maintain office hours there and regularly conduct research with graduate students.
