Computer Science Comprehensive Exam
Important Information
NOTE: CS has introduced a new and more effective alternative for the Capstone exit requirement.
Methods for meeting the exit requirements are now:

Pass one of the following capstone courses:
- CMPS 116 (Software Design Project)
- CMPS 140 (Artificial Intelligence)
- CMPS 161 (Visualization and Computer Animation)
- CMPS 181 (Database Systems II)
- CMPS 183 (Hypertext and the Web)
- Do a senior thesis.
- Get a scaled score of 600 or better on the CS GRE (www.gre.org), the test dates for this academic year are listed in www.gre.org/testdate.html.
Honors in the Major
- Students who obtain a GPA of 3.8 or higher in the major courses will receive the distinction of "Highest Honors in the Major".
- Students who obtain a GPA of 3.5 or higher in the major courses will receive the distinction of "Honors in the Major".
