The organizational meeting and mini-tutorial is this Thursday, with the actual competition to be held two weeks later. Robocode is a simulated tank battle game, where participants write Java code to move their tank, scan the field, and fire bullets. Monday, February 26 Baskin Engineering, Room 101 5:30 PM The Google File System (GFS) is a large scale distributed file system used for internal Google data and as a building block for other Google storage services. This presentation is a brief, high-level overview of GFS, and GFS related testing. Included is a discussion of GFS architecture, features, and a 10,000 foot view of the testing that goes into GFS. The main goal of this presentation is to provide insight into the complexity of Google infrastructure, and a few strategies that are used by Software Engineers in Test at Google. He will speak about careers in Psychometrics, graduate internships, and fellowships at the ETS. Psychometricians develop, administer, and score tests and exams.
