Hello Steven,
You can actually lift from mm5 to mm9 using lifts that are available on
the genome browser. To lift from mm5 (May 2004) to mm9 (July 2007) you
will have to perform two sequential lifts:
1. First lift from mm5 (May 2004) to mm8 (Feb 2006).
2. Then lift from mm8 (Feb 2006) to mm9 (July 2007).
