Hello Keith,

You can do this in bulk using the Table Browser tool on our website
('Tables' from the top blue navigation bar). Configure it like so:

group: Gene and Gene Prediction Tracks
track: UCSC Genes (or other Gene track)
table: knownGene (or corresponding table to the Gene track)
region: genome

identifiers (names/accessions): This is where you will paste in your
list of genes.

output format: sequence
output file: name of file to save output to on your computer.

Then press the "get output" button. On the next pages you can choose
the type of sequence and the exact format.

This should be enough to get you started. Please don't hesitate to
contact the mail list again if you require further assistance.

Regards,

> Hello, My name is Keith MacCannell, and I am currently attempting to analyze data from a recent microarray of a mouse. We have found many genes which are up-regulated in our experiment, and would like to look in detail at the gene sequence of these genes. However, we would prefer not to look at them one at a time. Is there a way in which we could obtain the FASTA sequences of multiple genes, along with the upstream and downstream sequences, en masse? Can we input the genes we've found in a specific tabular format to acquire the FASTA files of these genes, or do these genes need to be input one at a time, and the sequences acquired individually?
