[Genome] FTP Connection error

Hello, 

I have been trying to download data from your ftp site and regardless of whether I link to it from a windows internet browser or try commandline from linux I have been getting the following error all morning:

Connecting to hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu|128.114.119.140|:21... connected.
Logging in as anonymous ... 
Error in server response, closing control connection.
Retrying.

Is this something on my end? or is the server down?
