[Genome] Venter Genome

hi Richard, Ewan, and everybody --

I'd like to elaborate on Kayla's answer a little bit. Kayla is
correct that we do not have an immediate plan to post the Venter
data on our public site. On the other hand, as Jim Kent points
out, "We have no plans NOT to host the data either.". In other
words, we are considering the Venter data in the context of the
many other human genomes that are sure to follow, and are
discussing the best way to display these data sets such that they
will be the most useful to our research community. Several good
ideas have evolved from the discussion, one or more of which will
no doubt show up on our public site in upcoming releases. Keep an
eye on genome-announce at soe.ucsc.edu for further information.
