Hello Jay an,

The mRNA name, CGXXXX, in the picTar Drosophila target table is the
FlyBase ID plus the miRNA name. We have a table that would help to
translate the FlyBase ID to a RefSeq mRNA ID (NM_XXXX). You can
download this table - it is called flyBaseToRefSeq and it is a list of
the best overlapping RefSeq alignment for each FlyBase gene alignment. The
FlyBase ID is just the CGXXXX part before the colon. For example, the
FlyBase ID for the target, CG3727-RC:dme-miR-287, is CG3727-RC.

If you have a list of specific picTar targets for which you want to find
the RefSeq ID then you can also use the Table Browser tool which you can
reach through the Tables link on the top blue menu bar. After selecting the
FlyBase Genes track, you can select the flyBaseToRefSeq table and paste in a
list of FlyBase gene IDs to get the RefSeq identifiers.

I hope that this helps you. Please let us know if you have further
questions.

Rachel
