Hello CQ,
Centromere information is contained in the 'gap' table. To retrieve it,
go to the Table Browser (the blue "Tables" link at the top of the page)
and make the following selections:
clade: vertebrate
genome: mouse
assembly: Feb 2006 (mm8) is the most recent
group: mapping and sequencing tracks
track: gap
table: gap
region: genome
output format: all fields from selected table
Hit the filter "create" button and enter "centromere" in the "table does
match" box. (If you would like to see the format of the table first,
hit the "describe table schema" button on the previous page.) Hit submit.
Back on the main page, hit "get output". You should get a list of all
of the centromeres that are annotated in the mm8 assembly.
I hope this information helps. Please let us know if you have further
questions.
