[Genome] genomic location mapping to track info

Dear Genome Browser folks,

I have a technical question about track table files and how they map to
genomic locations.

We are gathering annotation information for a given genomic location by
comparing this location to the genomic location ranges for each line in
a track table, and reading out the associated info for that item. In a
given track table file, would a particular genomic location fall within
only one (or zero) of the ranges listed in the table? In other words,
can a particular genomic location map to two (or more) lines in the same
track table? It seems logical that it would not, but I just wanted to
confirm.

Thanks,

Ted
