[Genome] Question regarding saving custom tracks and how to get "permanent" url link?

Hello Svetlana,
In general, custom tracks expire 48 hours after they were last accessed.
The exception to this rule is custom tracks that are saved as part of
a session. (Note, however, that we do not guarantee that the custom
tracks saved in sessions will exist forever . . . you may need to reload
them if we experience a power outage or some other disturbance. But
they are not purposely removed after 48 hours of non-use.)
If you save your custom track in a session, you can share your session
in any of the ways listed at the bottom of the sessions page
(http://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgSession), and your custom tracks
should not disappear. One thing to keep in mind with this method is
that all of the users who access the session will see the Genome Browser
with the settings that were saved to the session (for instance, certain
tracks turned on or off, different image width settings, etc.).
Alternatively, if you want others to be able to see your custom track
but not have to share the same session, there is another method for
sharing it. You will need to put your custom track data in a
web-accessible location, and then you can construct a URL that will call
that location and load the data as a custom track. Instructions for
doing this are here:

I hope one of these solutions will work for you. Please write back to
this list if you have further questions.
