[Genome] GeneID along with variations

Hi 
When we submit the genomic position in the format 

chrX:15283001-15129000 for querying variations and SNPs, Is 
there any way such that Gene Symbol or GeneID could also be
displayed in the result otherwise, for a list of genomic 
positions it becomes difficult to analyze the whole result.
