[Genome] Need your help

Thanks so much for the explanation. We udated the otherOrgs.ra file.
Then when we tried to click on the "UCSC Genes" track, we got a new
error message as follows.

"Can't start query: select accession from proteome.spSecondaryID where
accession2='(null)'  "

Any ideas? Thanks again.

Hi Jin,

The otherOrgs.ra file is described in this kent source tree document: 
src/hg/hgGene/hgGeneData.doc.  The actual file is located in the tree 
one directory down, at src/hg/hgGene/hgGeneData/otherOrgs.ra.  This file

gets copied to cgi-bin/hgGeneData/otherOrgs.ra when you do a "make" in 
the hgGene directory.

The otherOrgs.ra file contains information used to display the links in 
the "Other Species" section of the UCSC Genes details pages.  It sounds 
like that file needs to be updated with our latest source, or it is
missing.
