[Genome] Exon genomic location question

All,

I would like obtain the total number of annotated genes on the UCSC
website (or in Refseq), the genomic start and stop locations of each
gene, along with the total number of exons for each gene and their
genomic start and stop locations. Does anyone know if there is a
repository holding this information? If not, my other thought was to
download these alignment files (shown below in the included link) and
parse the files to obtain where the actual start and stop regions occur
from the alignments within the genome. Does anyone know of a better
way? Any suggestions are welcome.
