Hello,
I was using the Drosophila pseudoobscura Annotation database. In the
textfile "flyBaseGene.txt", several of the genes that are annotated
as coding genes in flybase are missing (6 genes were missing from 52
analyzed, i.e. about 10%).
For example, gene GA10866 is annotated in flybase (in contig
chrXR_group6 - from position 4551947-4556117), but is missing
in the UCSC annotation. The two neighboring genes (GA20144 and
GA16911) are annotated, both in the UCSC file and in flybase.
Thanks a lot for your help,
cheers,
Doris
