[Genome] custom tracks

Hello,
  I would like to display my personal multiple alignment files (60kb)
against the mm8 assembly using a custom track-- is this possible? (and if
so, what file format should I upload?)   I also noticed that the permanent
conservation .maf track has its own sequence annotation (ie, base coloring
and gap syntax)....would this be possible with a custom track as well?
