All regrade requests for homeworks and programming projects must be made within two weeks of the day grades are returned. In general, if you request a regrade, we reserve the right to regrade your entire assignment: this means that your grade may go down. In addition, if your request for a regrade is deemed to be entirely without merit, you will automatically incur an additional 10% penalty on the assignment for wasting our time.
However, if there was a failure of the handin system beyond your control, if your total score was computed or entered into the gradebook incorrectly, or if you were improperly penalized for what is clearly a correct answer or functioning program feature, you may request a regrade without fear of losing points; your grade is guaranteed to go up in these situations.
Regrade requests must be made to the instructor (not the TA) via email (so that we have a record of your request). It is likely that you will subsequently be asked to meet with the instructor during his office hours to discuss the grade.
