All students are expected to take exams during the scheduled time slots. With the permission of the instructor, you may be allowed to take an exam at an alternate time. However, you must request this rescheduling at least 2 weeks prior to the exam date. Exceptions will naturally be made for sudden problems such as serious illnesses/injury. Since the exam schedule is being published at the beginning of the quarter, scheduling conflicts (e.g., job interviews, GREs, etc.) are not legitimate reasons to miss an exam.
All exams will be comprehensive. In principle, everything discussed in class, appearing in the lecture notes, in the required reading, or assigned in homework or projects is fair game.
No calculators, PDAs, laptops, books, notes, etc. are allowed on any of our exams.
The midterm is scheduled for Tuesday, May 9th during the regular class period.
Any and all requests for corrections in the grading of your midterm must be submitted by Thursday, May 25th. After that date, we will not entertain any regrade requests, with the exception of arithmetic or data entry errors in tallying your grade.
The final exam will be held on Thursday, June 8th, during the regular class period.
