Announcements

6/3 - Sample Finals are posted.

5/29 - Grades for Project #2 are posted.

5/21 - Grades For Homework #2 are posted and Project #4 is posted.

5/17 - For those who got less than 50 on the Midterm, the makeup will be Friday at 2pm in 375 E2. Please email either Darrell or me if you plan on attending.

5/15 - Grades are posted.

5/12 - Chapters 5 and 6 are available.

5/2 - Project #3 is available.

5/2 - Sample Midterms are posted.

4/26 - Homework #2 is posted, the due date is May 5th, which is also the date of the midterm.

4/19 - To run DLXOS you will need to download the DLXOS and the DLXsim from the website. Then in the dlxsim makefile uncomment the proper OS to compile for. For the DLXOS makefile change the comments for the DLXTOOLS line to the /afs/cats/... line.

4/18 - I have posted a new sample design document. Please take a look at it before you submit your design document later this week. Take some time and think about what you will be doing, don't just recite what is in the project assignment.

4/14 - Since IT services still hasn't setup the submit command yet, please email a file containing your project 1 to me (rghero@cse.ucsc.edu)  before the deadline of midnight. Remember to send a makefile with the project as I am not going to try to figure out how to compile your project.

4/10 - Homework #1 is posted. We will give a handout during Tuesdays class. The assignment will be due on April 19th.

4/6 - Design Documents for Project 1 should be handed in on paper during tomorrow's class. Also when compiling the lex.l file with flex make sure there is some whitespace in front of the line "_argcount = 0; args[0] = NULL;"

4/2 - Extra Credit for implementing pipes in their full generality.  Project 1 only requires one pipe per command line, but if multiple are supported (ie. ps | grep | more) you will receive an extra 10% on the project.  Also please sign up for the MAILING LIST, if you don't, you will miss out on important information about this class and won't get your disk quota increased!

3/31 - Sign up for the Mailing List.  We will get the disk quotas increased once we have a list of students in the class.
