Assignments
- 2 Dec: Homework #5 has been assigned. It is an optional homework. If you turn it in by 11:59 PM on Friday, December 5th, it will be graded and replace your lowest homework grade from the first four homeworks. If you don't turn it in, your homework grade will be your average from the first four homeworks.
- 24 Nov: Project #4 has been
assigned, and is due on Friday, December 5th at 11:59 PM. There
is a free extension to Sunday, December 7th at 11:59 PM, but no
projects will be accepted after that time.
NOTE: There have been changes to both the OS and the simulator to allow for I/O to and from a "disk" in DLXOS. If you're using the dlxsim on unix.ic, it's already been updated. Otherwise, please get the latest version of dlxsim.tar.gz and rebuild it. You can get a fresh version of DLXOS, or you can add the changes listed here to your own code. - 18 Nov: The due date for Project #3 has been extended to Sunday, November 23rd at 11;59 PM.
- 12 Nov:Homework #4 has been assigned, and is due on Friday, November 21st at 11:59 PM.
- 4 Nov: Project #3 has been assigned, and is due on Wednesday, November 19th at 11:59 PM.
- 24 Oct: Homework 3 has been assigned, and is due on Tuesday, October 28th at 11:59 PM.
- 17 Oct: Project #2 is now due at 11:59 PM on Monday, November 3rd. This is after the midterm. However, you still need to go over your design document on or before Thursday, October 23rd (date unchanged) in order to get the 5 point bonus.
- 16 Oct: There is an updated GNUmakefile for DLXOS. None of the code itself has changed. The new GNUmakefile makes it easier to build customized tarballs for handing in project material, and simplifies adding and removing files you might want to turn in. It's available online.
- 14 Oct: Homework 2 has been assigned, and is due on Tuesday, October 21st at 11:59 PM.
- 7 Oct: IMPORTANT: If you got dlxos.tgz and dlxsim.tgz from the Web site before Tuesday (10/7) at 1 PM, you need to get a new copy from either the Web site or the CATS site. If your copy is from the CATS dlx directory, you don't need to do anything.
- 7 Oct: You don't have to turn in your project design document early, though you're still encouraged to do it well before the assignment is due. The project assignment has been updated to reflect this change. Remember that you do still have to turn in your design with your code on the due date.
- 3 Oct: Project 1 has been assigned, and is due on Wednesday, October 15th at 11:59 PM. Please read the project information page before starting the assignment.
- 30 Sep: Homework 1 has been assigned, and is due on Tuesday, October 7th at 11:59 PM.
