Algorithms and Abstract Data Types

• I plan on giving four programming assignments, two in C and two in Java (or maybe one slightly larger Java project), on mini-projects related to the data structures and algorithms covered in class.

• C CODING STANDARDS(NOTE: you may revise this and produce your own coding standards, but you MUST follow SOME kind of coding standards.)
• FIRST ASSIGNMENT: Flood fill. Due midnight, Feb. 4 in the class locker.
• SECOND ASSIGNMENT: Hashtables with open addressing. Due midnight, Feb. 25 in the class locker.
• THIRD ASSIGNMENT: Heap implementation of priority queues in Java.
