Computer Game Progress Report Evaluation - CMPS 80K
Evaluation of the project progress report focuses on whether all required elements are
present, and whether the work breakdown's time estimates and completion dates have been
updated with the best current knowledge about how long it will take to perform each
activity. Additionally, evaluation will also focus on whether any proposed reductions
in project scope are appropriate, and will result in high likelihood of the team
completing the project on time.
Grading for the project progress report will follow these guidelines:
- Does it list the game's title, group name, and all group members? (5%)
- Does the table containing the work breakdown describe all reasonably forseeable tasks required to
complete the game? Does each task listing contain all required elements (task name, task
description, time estimate, date to be completed, and people assigned to complete the work)? Is the estimate
reasonable given the description, and the proposed game? Have the time estimates
been updated to reflect current best understanding of how long it will take to complete the
project? Have task listings been modified to reflect any reduction in project scope? Have
completion times for finished tasks been updated to show that the task has been completed? (95%)
- If the project is reducing its scope, is there a description of the proposed
reduction in scope? (required if there is a reduction in scope, but not graded.)
