Evaluation of the Drawing Game - CMPS 80K - Foundations of Interactive Game Design
Grades for the drawing game will be assigned as follows:
- Name of your team (required)
- Name of each team member (required)
- Title of your game (5%)
- Brief overview of your game (1-3 paragraphs)(20%)
- Detailed description of game rules (50%). Points will be lost for ambiguous rules, and missing rules. We will
be looking specifically for a detailed description of how to start a game, how a game is ended, how
success is defined for the game, andhow turns progress (if the game has turns).
- Discussion of what it was like to play your game. (25%, broken down as follows)
- General discussion of the gameplay experience, ideally including screenshots (10%)
- Describe one aspect of your design that worked as expected (5%)
- Describe one aspect of your design that produced unexpected gameplay, or didn't work as expected (5%)
- Describe whether it was fun to play your game. Why was it fun, or why was it not fun? (5%)
Of course, correct spelling and grammar are expected. Assignments not written at a college level of expression
will be returned without grade for revision. Assignments must be typed, and submitted printed out on paper in class.
Handwritten essays will be returned without grade for resubmission.
Essays must be original, and in your own words.
