How to Sign up for the Forum
  1. Go to http://www.omidyar.net/user/new and register your email address.

  2. Login to your account using the password that is emailed to you.
    Note: Your UCSC account filters emails from omidyar.net as spam, so if you are registering with your UCSC email address, you must check your spam folder for emails from the site.

  3. Go to your settings, click "Edit my profile," and fill in your name and "about me" section.
    Note: You must fill out something in your "about me" section in order for the name change to go through. (For some reason, the changes only go through that way. Otherwise, you will receive an error.)

  4. Go to http://www.omidyar.net/group/cmps80j/ and click "Join this group."

  5. Be sure to read the site for additional help in navigating the forum and learning more about the online community (http://www.omidyar.net/group/help/ws/index/).
How to Complete Homework Assignments and How to Create Discussion Threads
  1. Login to omidyar and go to the class forum site: http://www.omidyar.net/group/cmps80j/.

  2. To complete homework assignments: click on the appropriate assignment link on the course schedule. Add a comment.

  3. To create a new discussion thread: click the discussions tab and then the new topic link. (Note: All homework related posts must be made within the already created threads. DO NOT create any new discussion threads for homeworks.)
