The grading breakdown for the class is as follows:

quizzes - 40 pct. of grade
hw - 30 pct. of grade
final exam - 30 pct. of grade

Grade cutoffs are as follows:

90-100: A
80-90: B
65-80: C
50-65: D

Note that the exams are on a scale of 100 and the homeworks
are on a scale of 10, but they will be rescaled by a factor
of 10 in figuring the final grade. In other words, the formula
for your grade is the following:

0.4*(q1+q2+q3+q4)/4 + 0.3*10*(hw1+hw3+hw5+hw7+hw9)/5 + 0.3*final
