CS 10     Fall 2001    Homework Assignments

All written homework is due at the beginning of class on the due date.  Work all problems carefully and neatly.  At the top of the first page, please place:
Your name
Student ID#
The section in which you are enrolled (01 or 02)
The name of the assignment (i.e. hw1, hw2, etc.)
Important Note:
The graders have reported to me that there are a number of people whose work is excessively sloppy, difficult to read, and therefore difficult to grade.  I have instructed the homework graders to simply assign a score of zero to any paper which is illegible.  In addition, they will deduct 10 points (two full grade points) from any paper which is only barely legible.  Teaching assistants have also had problems reading the names on certain papers.  If your name is not written legibly on your paper you will not be credited with the work.

Important Requirement:
The pages of your assignment must be stapled together.  You will lose points if you fail to do this.  I have instructed graders to deduct 10 points from any paper which is not stapled.  If for some reason you must turn in loose papers, make sure you name is on each page.

How to get your homework back:
Graded  homework (and quizzes) will be returned in boxes marked CS10-01 and CS10-02 which are located in trailer 15 behind the Baskin Engineering building.  Trailer 15 is unfortunately not open and accessible at all times.  The current schedule of open times is here.  As I mentioned in class, if you go to trailer 15 expecting it to be open and find that it is not, come up to my office (Baskin 343A) and ask me to let you in.  I arrive on campus at about 10:00 am every morning, I have classes MWF 2:00-3:10, TTh 12:00-1:45 & 4:00-5:45, then leave campus about 6:00 or 6:30.
