Homework

In addition to the labs, this course has homework assignments which consist of readings in the textbook and answering online questions.

Week 1

The following assignments are due Tuesday, Apr. 4.
  1. Read Computer Confluence chap. 1.
  2. (4 pts) Fill out the online survey.
  3. Get a CATS account.
  4. Find Register on the class page, and check in for doing homework.
  5. (8 pts) Enter the name of your cats account, and submit it.

  6. (8 pts) Find the mystery spot in the picture, and submit the solution when you find it.
  7. Check out when finished with the computer.

Week 2

  5. (5 pts) View this very simple calculator. It has a Javascript program in it. It is supposed to be able to multiply and divide the inputs, but it has some bugs and always gives 0. Download the source, modify it so that it multiplies and divides correctly, and upload it to your web page under the same name, calc.htm.
