(16 Mar. 2005) Final grades are posted in the SECURE website. Have a good spring break!
(8 Mar. 2005) The final exam is on Tuesday,
15th Mar., 12-3 pm in Classroom Unit 1. One page of
handwritten notes is allowed for the final exam.
There are extra review sessions for the final (in
Jack's Lounge):
Ryan: Thursday, 10 Mar., 5 pm; Saturday, 12 Mar., 5 pm.
Michi: Friday, 11 Mar., 4 pm; Sunday, 13 Mar., 4 pm.
(1 Mar. 2005) One page of handwritten notes is
allowed for the quiz on 3rd Mar.
(26 Feb. 2005) Michi's office hours have changed
to Monday 1-2 pm and Friday 3-4 pm in Jack's lounge.
(24 Feb. 2005) There will be a short quiz in
class on 3rd Mar.
(6 Feb. 2005) Ryan's Tuesday session (8th Feb.) will be a review from 5-7:30, an extra hour. Michi has prepared a review for the midterm available here.
(1 Feb. 2005) The midterm will be on Thursday, 10th Feb. in class. Topics to be familiar with: probabilities, unions, intersections, etc.; conditional probability/Bayes' rule; joint and marginal distributions (continuous and discrete); functions of 1 or 2 random variables; expectation (mean, variance, covariance, etc.).
(1 Feb. 2005) Michi will have two review sessions for the midterm: Monday (7th Feb.) 2:30 - 4:30 pm at the whiteboard area and Wednesday (9th Feb.) 2:30 - 4:30 pm at the whiteboard area.
(28 Jan. 2005) There will be a short quiz in class on 3rd Feb.
(11 Jan. 2005) Solutions to the prerequisite exam are posted in the secure section of the website. Michi has also typed the problems for Homework 1 (available from the secure link).
(7 Jan. 2005) Due to a time conflict with CMPS101, Michi has changed his discussion sessions to MW 3:30-4:30pm in Jack's Lounge.
