A Frequently asked Question: Will the final exam contain tables similar to those which appeared on the first couple of quizzes giving logical equivalences and rules of inference?

Answer:    I do expect that everyone knows the rules of inference, logical equivalences, set identities, etc., and is able to use them where appropriate.  What I don't expect is that students remember the name of each rule.  Therefore, if I have a question which requires that each step be justified by giving the name of some rule or identity, then I'll provide an appropriate table.  Otherwise, there will be no such table.  For instance, you should be able to use DeMorgan's law in a calculation without having it provided to you in a table, but you need not remember that it is called 'DeMorgan's law'.
