Good problems to work out from Goodman and Miller: Chapter 1: 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 1.8-1.12, 1.14 Chapter 3: 3.4-3.9, 3.12-3.14 (You'll want to do all of these!!) (Number bases are fun!! Especially when strange, like 3 or 60 or Pi!) 3.10,3.11 Pose interesting questions for the intrigued. ----------------------------------------- And do at least 10 other number problems on your own, such as: Pick 10 decimal numbers, at least 3 with a fractional part Convert each to binary Swap your 10 binary numbers with a friend's Convert your friend's numbers decimal Check the answers. And then translate back and forth to hex ----------------------------------------- Try one or two problems in base 3 or 5. How do you convert from base 3 to base 9?
