Start the LightWave Modeler. |

In the "Preferences" menu, choose:

Select the file LWM3.CFG and open it. |

Now you should see the new Modeler interface. |

On the right side of the "Edit Plug-ins" dialog, click on

To scan the plug-ins directory and add all available plug-ins, click the + icons to open folders all the way down to the plug-ins directory.

Once you have selected the Plugins directory, click the OK button. |

Lightwave will scan the directory for all available plug-ins. Some files in the directory are not plug-ins, so you will get a few error messages that look like the one here. This is normal!Just clikc on the OK button each time (there should only be a few of these messages). |

When the scan is finished, LightWave will tell you how many plug-ins it found, in how many plug-in files. You can close the Edit Plug-ins window afterwards. |

Now you have the finished Modeler interface. This is the interface you see in class. It provides more of the available features and functionality available with LightWave than the old interface does. |
