UCSC and SOE Computer Usage Policies
All SoE computer users need to be familiar with the computer usage policies of UCSC and SoE. Failure to follow policies can result in termination of computing access, financial penalties and in some extreme cases dismissal from the University. Ignorance or failure to understand usage policies may not be accepted as an excuse. Click on the header and please ensure you read, understand and follow the policies listed. If you do not understand the policies, please contact the SoE help desk for direction to someone that may assist.
Services & Support
To make a support request, please submit a ticket by logging into the ITS Request Tracker with your UCSC account name and password. When requesting support, use a descriptive subject line and include as much detail as possible.
Please avoid contacting individual SOE Technical Staff members directly unless you are already working with them. Please report network or system emergencies to the SOE Help Desk. For quick questions, please drop by the SOE Help Desk, Baskin Engineering Room 311. For more detailed requests and for after-hours support, use our request system.

New User Accounts
New users need to complete the SOE Terms of Agreement form. Be sure to read both sides and return to the SOE Help Desk, Baskin Engineering, Room 311. A secure drop box is located on the hallway wall for after hours submittals.
