The Baskin Engineering Building is located in the North-West corner of UCSC, on Science Hill. Enter through the campus's West entrance, located at the intersection of Empire Grade Road and Heller Drive ("A"). Proceed along Heller Drive to the fifth stop sign, where you will see a large multi-story parking garage on your right side ("B"). This is the closest parking to Baskin Engineering.
You can also get door-to-door directions from Google Maps.
Within the parking structure, a permit is required to park in the reserved spaces. Visitors can get an A-level parking permit from kiosk at UCSC's main entrance at the intersection of Bay Drive and High Street. Limited metered spaces on the 2nd floor are provided for cars that do not have a parking permit. Permits are not required for parking after 8:30pm or any time Saturday or Sunday. Departments may arrange for guest parking in advance by contacting the Transportation and Parking Services (TAPS) Sales Office. TAPS also has a general information page.
Once you are parked, you should exit the parking garage on the East side, furthest away from where you entered the parking garage ("A") and turn Left on Steinhart Way. Cross over McLaughlin drive and proceed up the slight hill to Baskin Engineering ("B"). If your destination is Baskin Engineering, then you are looking for the large concrete building. If your destination is Engineering 2, then you are looking for the large glass building directly behind the concrete building.
A complete interactive UCSC campus map is available on the UCSC maps web site.
