Campus-wide tournament scheme (2-28-2004)

1. randomly assign numbers to each double team.

2. round robin match (approx. 1 hr ) - hand out 1 prize for winning team - (2 paddles + 4 balls).

rules:

Every two team MUST play all three sets. This is because the final winner is determined by the most winning SETS. Total of 15 matches, 15 x 3 = 45 sets.

Report to club captain for disputes.

3. randomly assign numbers to each player.

4. single elimination style until 4 players left. (approx. 3hrs)

rules:

Everyone will play at least three other players.

both players MUST report to the main referee and mark his win/lose.

Before we determine the 6 semi-finalists, if you win the first two sets, then do not play the last set.

after you played first three matches, during the remaining tournament, anyone has a winning ratio at 25% or lower will be out permanently.

Report to club captain or the main referee for disputes.

Special situation: late players can enter the tournament not later than 4pm, with penalty of 1/1 = 50% winning ratio upon entering.

5. Six semi-finalists play a final round robin. (approx. 1 hr)

6. hand out 3 prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place. ( paddle + 6 balls, paddle + 3 balls, 12 balls)
